Hello,
I’m Sarah, a self-taught artist whose practice is grounded in intuition, texture, and emotional depth. Painting first entered my life through art therapy during a period of personal mental health challenges, and it has since become a vital way for me to process, heal, and reconnect with myself. My work explores the complexity of the human experience, drawing on themes of mental health, resilience, nature and the interplay between our inner and outer worlds.
Through abstract, layered forms, I aim to capture emotion in its raw, transformative state - inviting viewers to slow down, reflect, and find their own meaning within the work. Painting is not just my creative practice, but a way of grounding, regulating the nervous system, and honouring the beauty and chaos of being human.
Alongside my art, I’m also trained in yoga, holistic nutrition, and public health. These practices have shaped my understanding of the body–mind connection and the ways creativity, movement, and nourishment can support mental and emotional wellbeing. They continue to inform how I approach art: as a healing medium that bridges personal expression with collective care.
